Women of God Rise and Shine
By the time the Lord made woman, He was into his sixth day of working overtime... An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?" And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my specification sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, she must have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart -and she must be able to do everything with only two hands."
The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way! And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish." But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation which is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."
The angel moved closer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord." "She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish." "Will she be able to think?” asked the angel. The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate."
The angel then noticed something, and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."
"That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!"
"What's the tear for?" the angel asked. The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride."
The angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything! This woman is truly amazing."
"And she is!" Said the Lord.
"Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take 'no' for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET. They forget that they are made to My image and that they were made to be helpers to men. They forget that they are no junk; because I make no junk. They forget that they can do all they put their minds to, in My name”, the Lord answered. (Unknown)
Yes we forget that we have been called to go and proclaim the good news just like Mary Magdalene did when Jesus asked her to go to the disciples and spread the good news about His resurrection.
I. Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
II. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, ‘declares the Lord’, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
A. The sun rises on the east and everyone sees it; they not only see it they are amazed by its beauty and shine.
B. When the sun-sets it loses its shine
a) one cannot shine when in depression
b) one cannot shine in hiding
c) one needs to rise up and then others see the glow
d) Moses: He went up the mountain and when he returned his face was shining

III. God has a Plan for you and it is not to destroy you.
A. Do you know what is His plan for you? Is it:
a. Preaching
b. School teacher
c. Nurse
d. Evangelist
e. Counselor
f. Housewife
B. WHO me? Some might ask.
a. Yes you, God says. Lets all repeat God’s words of Jeremiah 29:1, "For I know the plans I have for you, ‘declares the Lord’, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future.”
b. His plans for you are not for evil- He is a good God; a loving God, a God of new beginnings. He is in the business of changing lives and giving promotions. He says “Promotion comes from the Lord.”
c. His Plans for you are for Wholeness; purity and completeness
d. His Plan is to set you apart
e. His plans are to prosper you
f. He has plans to give you a future and give you hope.
Definition of Hope:
To desire; to anticipate with the expectation of fulfillment; confident expectation.
C. Rise up and build, Women of God.
Build what you might ask? I can’t even take care of myself might as well build, you might be thinking...
a. Some of you have been broken so bad that building is the least you are thinking of at this moment.
b. Some of you have been verbally abused and told that you are not good for nothing.
c. Some of you have been laying next to the pool of
d. Some of you have no one to talk to and are dealing with depression, abandonment, abuse of the past and of the present... Why should I use this page to talk to you about the future?
Because I have news for you, I want to tell you that GOD SAID THAT HIS PLANS FOR YOU INCLUDES PROSPERING YOUR FUTURE.
D. God wants you to get up and build
a. Build your home (the wise women builds her house while the foolish destroys hers with her own hands (Proverbs 14:1)

bb. Her children
cc. Her husband
dd. Her health
ee. Her intelligence
ff. Her carrier
gg. Her self esteem
hh. Her self worth
ii. Her spiritual walk
b. Become a designer
Take after your Father God, become a designer. Your Father in heaven is the best designer of all, He is the Master of design, and He designed you and me. Designing is in your DNA, your Spiritual DNA. You have within you to design; GET UP AND DESIGN BECAUSE YOU:
aa. Were made unique
bb. Were made especial
cc. Were made beautiful
dd. Were made intelligent
ee. Were made emotional
ff. Were made a thinker
gg. Were made compassionate
hh. Were made to care and to love
If you want to build, if you want to design first you need to ARISE AND SHINE.
E. SHINE
a. In his love
b. In his promises
c. In his Word
d. In his Presence
Once you have risen and shined you will be like an empty vessel that is always ready for more. If you take a vessel full of water and put it in the sun the water evaporates and becomes empty ready for more water.
If you come to the "Son" and remain in His presence for a period of time you too will be empty of your “stuff” and will be full of Him, thus you will shine.
You might ask, then what?
Then you learn to indulge in His presence and as you do, you shine.
F. Women of God, are you ALL God created you to be? If not, why not? What’s holding you back? Is it Depression? Is it your past, your doubts, your husband, your parents, your boyfriend, or is it your life style? Don’t let none of the above stop you be what God created you to be. God loves you just the way you are, He will change what He doesn’t like, with your permission of course. He is waiting for you, come to Him now. Rise up and Shine!
