AGAPE MINISTRY TRAVEL REPORTS AND/OR NEWS

KENYA:   FOR PICTURES OF THE ENTIRE TRIP CLICK THE PHOTO BUTTON ON OUR HOME PAGE.

The Agape Team went and returned with great news for all. The first two weeks were dedicated to women conferences (two of them) pastors' seminar (May 1-2) children's program ( about four of them) and a crusade in Kisumu.  The third week was dedicated to administration duties and auditing of the school.  The great news is that the AMBS is doing good and as we work with Dayspring University in Florida, they are willing to work with our school and give our students a Bachelor Degree in Christian Education.  Help us pray for this new program.

Many miracles happened throughout our stay in Kenya; three men were delivered from alcoholism, accepted the Lord and we left them praising God.  Many marriages were saved and people healed.  Fiancial miracles happened such as not having money to get home at 10:00 p.m. but waiting in faith at the bus stop on a pitch black night and having someone use a flashlight to be able to climb into the bus (van) and God showing you shillings very close to the tires of the van...enough shillings to go home and come back the next morning.  This you might think it's a small miracle but not to a Kenyan specially after God had given him a message through prophecy that He had seen his financial need and He was taking care of it.  Haleluiah!

We visited a women and men prison  where 14 women and approximately 100 men gave their lives to the Lord.

During the women's conferences in two different locations, 140 women said "Yes Lord, and had a clearer vision about their calling.

Not only were the projects we set out to do and collected money to do were completed or in the process of being completed but we were also able to serve the Lord in other ways such as evengelists, teachers, prophets and bearers of good news in the districts of Kitui, Nairobi, Kisumu and the Kasarani sub division all in Kenya.  We also trained two Uganda pastors and one wife in Compassionate Listening training so that they can carry the torch in their nation of Uganda.

The projects we set out to do were: built a running water washroom for Faith Christian School, renovate a pantry for Havilah Home and fix the entrance to the wash rooms of  a pastor's church.  Also white and black socks were collected for the children of Faith Christian School; these were delivered.

Following is a summary of the supernatural work of our Lord Jesus Christ:

§         SALVATIONS- 18, not including the men in the jail that said the sinner’s prayer.

On April of 2009, Pastors Judith and Joel from Agape Ministry, accompanied by four mission trip members ( Rev. Rebecca and Pastor Darwin Van Horn, Pastor Jan Noel, and Kym Goodson(License to Preach)) went on a mission trip to Kenya.  While there, we preached in several local churches, conducted  pastor conferences, a women's conference, a  children's conference, and conducted training in Compassionate Listening and spiritual mapping for church evangelism.  We also visited an home for  orphans whose parents died of AIDS, and Faith Christian School.  Please take a few minutes to look over some of the photos of our trip.  A link to the report is on our blog page.

On April 2010, The Agape Ministry again will travel to Kenya to have our second Annual Conference for pastors and women.  See 2010 Trips and Events for more information and for donations.

On April 12, 2010 Agape Ministry will apply for Non Govermental Organization (Non-Profit) status in Kenya.  We are looking for people that believe in missions to help us feed the hungry with a Soup Kitchen and help us train our pastors thru our Agape Ministry Bible School, two year Certificate on Biblical Affairs.

AGAPE MINISTRY PROJECT UPDATE:

KENYA/UGANDA

1.  Flip flops were sent to Kenya and they benefited refugees from Congo; thanks to Johana Rodriguez Quist for her donation of $100 for this cause.

2.  One toilet was built at the Faith Christian School; thanks to one of the Agape Ministry Board Member, Amelia for her donation towards this project.  Two toilets are still in need to be built.

3.  The AMAPNA Office is officially opened in Nairobi, Kenya, see our blog or the home page for the address and phone number.

4.  The Agape Ministry ordained 50 pastors who are now working together with us to spread the word; see RESOURCES to see who they are.  We also ordained a pastor in Mexico, one in Costa Rica and two in Uganda.

5.  We have new residents in the Havillah Home, a four year old boy name Freedom is our newest.  Please pray for the people in Kenya because when a new marriage takes place, it is very common to throw away children from the old marriage or relationship.  Little Freedom was a throw away child whom a gentleman pick-up and raised.  He is now ready to get married and his fiancee does not want Freedom, so he dropped him off at our orphanage Havillah Home.  Rev. Sophia, one of our pastors, is the founder and Director of this Home.  Please keep her and the children in prayer.

6.  The Agape Ministry Bible School (AMBS) will officially begin on the weekend of 6 and 7th of November 2009.  We offer a Certificate in Biblical Affairs.  It is a 16 subject training; including Christian Conflict Resolution and Compassionate Listening for people in the helping ministries.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT AGAPE MINISTRY IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION; THUS YOU WILL RECEIVE A TAX EXEMPT RECEIPT FOR YOUR DONATIONS.

2. AGAPE MINISTRYis providing the money for the chicken which is part of the menu once a week.

3. AGAPE MINISTRY funded the Cafe Latino for the month of October; this program reaches unchurched women from different communities.  Pastor Cubero serves coffee to the ladies and then teaches them the Word of God.

MEXICO

Pastor Beatriz is in need of Hispanic books which Agape Ministry mailed twice; except both times the books came back undelivered.  Please help us pray for our pastor there so that she can get a good reliable address, therefore protecting God's money.  No more books have been sent.

OHIO

We are assisting, in a monthly basis, pastors Joe and Victoria Overholt from the Overcomers Church in Mt. Vernon.  We will be conducting marriage seminars and preaching when asked to do so.

Bishop Judith became a student of The Called Program thru the SDBC.

Both Bishops Judith and Joel received Licensed to Preach Certificates from the SDBC
